Seaview wins ADNZ Award

We’re incredibly proud to have been awarded the ADNZ Residential Renovation award for Wellington for our Seaview project.

Jasper Keats, our Senior Associate, was the project lead. We would like to recognize the dedication, time, energy and creativity put into designing this spectacular home - a true reflection of our high standards and impeccable craftsmanship.

Originally designed by prominent architect Friedrich Eisenhofer in the 1970’s, Seaview offered an incredibly unique and exciting renovation opportunity. With a primary intention to respect the authentic character of the building, we aimed to create a congruous marriage between 70’s modernism and contemporary architecture.

‍

The primary works of the renovation revolved around a semi-enclosed courtyard and swimming pool privately nested at the building’s core. A complete reconfiguration of the existing Kitchen, Dining and Living spaces creates an open plan environment, reinvigorating the notion of entertainment.

‍

With a common theme of solar gain and connectivity with the surrounding landscape seen across Eisenhofer projects, a strong focal point of our design was vegetation; displayed through the integrated garden bed planted below an existing floating staircase.

‍

Seaview’s exceptional outcome gave both a nod to the original architecture and a breath of fresh design to the home, ultimately creating a slice of harmonious paradise for our clients.
