We don't treat sustainability as a bolt-on. It's in the design from the start, in the orientation, envelope, glazing, and ventilation that determine how a building actually performs. We run energy modelling in-house, so we can test options early and make the call on data, not guesswork. We have a Homestar Designer and Assessor on the team, and offer modelling as a standalone service too.

With a Homestar Designer and Assessor on our team, we guide you through New Zealand's independent rating system for healthier, more efficient homes. A Homestar-rated home is warmer, drier, and cheaper to run.
We run energy modelling in-house, testing how a home will perform, its heating demand, running costs, and summer comfort, before it is built. That means decisions get made on data, not guesswork.
Orientation, glazing, insulation, and shading, designed as one system so the building does the work. Good passive design keeps a home comfortable year-round and cuts running costs.
We demonstrate Building Code energy efficiency (H1) through modelling where it suits the design. It is the most flexible compliance route, and it rewards good design rather than a fixed checklist.
